The UK has recently welcomed a ban on Microbeads. Hooray!
What are they?
Microbeads are tiny plastic particles, developed as an alternative to natural exfoliants. They can be hiding in anything from your toothpaste to your shower gel.
Why are they bad?
They go down our plug-holes and pollute our lakes, rivers and oceans. Fish and other marine life can swallow the tiny poisonous particles and enter the food chain.
What can you do?
Check your current products! The most common names for microbeads are polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP). Swap to natural alternatives. Our Cleanse & Smooth Face Balm uses Oat Powder whilst we have Ground Walnut Shells in our Radiance Face Mask.
